Back again!
You have probably returned to professional activity these days, after a few days of enjoyment and rest. This is also my case.
And how am I?
Well, at those moments, emotions related to "the return" and summer are mixed.
On one hand, new and many projects in mind and soon on paper and underway, overflowing energy after the rest and for the goals to achieve. And on the other, the nostalgia for the good times, the laughter, the rest, the new places, the good friends...
And where to focus?
Post-holiday syndrome is often talked about, characterized by fatigue, apathy, some drowsiness, and/or lack of concentration after returning to work.
The return requires a few days of readjustment, as it generally involves a significant change in terms of schedules and activity.
Not in all professional fields is this possible. In any case, I propose you stop looking to the past: those vacation days you long for so much and focus on today and the future.
And how to do it?
By finding in today those moments that also make you feel good and valuing them:
– the reunion with some work colleagues
– the routine of a schedule that allows you to feel better physically
– returning to the gym
– a walk in a place you enjoy in your surroundings
– returning to your home and all that it entails: your bed, your things...
Additionally, I propose:
– respecting your sleep hours: it's normal to feel more tired these days
– organizing your time so there's always something left for fun: time for yourself so that the return is more gradual
– not being so demanding with your task list or others': being more flexible and less perfectionist will help you adapt.
– focusing on the positive of each moment and valuing it. Often, we only value it when it's missing.
And on the other hand, fill yourself with energy by imagining and designing the future. As you know, the future mostly depends on you and what you do to achieve it. It's easy and comfortable to make excuses like "I can't because..." referring to the environment
